Introduction

Home Reno Hotspot (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates a scheduling and verification utility that helps homeowners and contractors coordinate renovation project introductions in the New York City metro area. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

This policy applies when you use our website, SMS, RCS (Rich Communication Services), or other messaging channels we support. By submitting your information or using our service, you consent to the practices described here. Questions may be directed to the contact information at the end of this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to scope requests, verify credentials, and coordinate introductions:

• Contact information: Name, phone number, and email address when you provide them.
• Project scope: Descriptions of renovation work, location (such as neighborhood or borough), timeline preferences you share, and related details provided via form or messaging.
• Spatial media: Photos and video you voluntarily capture of interior or exterior spaces related to your renovation request, submitted through our messaging flow or upload process.
• Derived 3D spatial models: Three-dimensional reconstructions generated from your submitted spatial media through photogrammetry processing.
• Communication data: Content and metadata of messages exchanged with our automated and human-assisted systems via SMS, RCS, or other supported channels.
• Consent records: Documentation of your opt-in to receive SMS or RCS messages, where applicable.

Spatial Media and 3D Models

When you choose to participate in spatial scoping, you voluntarily capture photos or video of the relevant area of your home and submit them through our platform. We use these submissions to help document project scope for matching and contractor coordination.

Processing: Your spatial media is sent to Polycam, our third-party photogrammetry processor, which reconstructs the captures into a 3D spatial model. Polycam processes the imagery solely to produce that reconstruction on our behalf.

Contractor packet: When we coordinate a scoped introduction, the matched credential-verified contractor receives a project packet that includes your project scope, the derived 3D spatial model, and related coordination materials needed to understand the request. Source photos and video may also be included where relevant to the scope.

Retention and deletion: We retain spatial source media and derived 3D models for as long as needed to qualify your request, deliver the contractor packet, support active coordination, and maintain reasonable operational records. When you request deletion (see “Your Rights”), we delete or de-identify spatial source media and derived models from our active systems, subject to applicable law and limited backup retention periods. You may also withdraw from further spatial capture at any time by declining to submit additional media.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Qualify and scope renovation requests submitted by homeowners.
• Process voluntarily submitted spatial media into 3D spatial models for project documentation.
• Assemble and deliver scoped project packets to matched contractors.
• Verify contractor licensing and certificate of insurance (COI) documentation submitted during enrollment.
• Coordinate a single, scoped introduction between a homeowner and a credential-verified contractor.
• Operate our masked relay communication system so parties can coordinate without direct exposure of personal phone numbers for unsolicited contact or resale.
• Send service-related SMS or RCS messages about your request, scheduling, and coordination.
• Process contractor subscription payments where applicable.
• Respond to support inquiries, process opt-out requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Masked Relay Communication

Home Reno Hotspot uses a masked relay model for phone-based coordination. Homeowner and contractor phone numbers are not sold, rented, or published for third-party marketing. Numbers are not directly exposed to the other party for unsolicited off-platform contact as part of our standard coordination flow.

Service-related calls and messages are routed through our platform and messaging infrastructure so introductions can be scheduled and scoped without operating as a lead broker or selling contact data.

SMS and RCS Messaging

When you opt in to receive SMS or RCS messages from Home Reno Hotspot:

• Consent: By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive texts (for example, via our lead form or by initiating contact through messaging), you consent to service-related SMS or RCS from Home Reno Hotspot. Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will send a final confirmation and then cease SMS/RCS messages. Opting out of messaging does not automatically delete all stored data; see “Your Rights” below.
• Help: Reply HELP for assistance or contact help@homerenohotspot.com.
• No selling or marketing sharing: Your mobile phone number and opt-in data will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
• Limited use: Mobile information is used only for messages related to your renovation request, scheduling, coordination, and service updates.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

With matched contractors or homeowners

We share project scope information, spatial project packets (including derived 3D spatial models and related media where applicable), and coordination details necessary to facilitate a scoped introduction. Contact coordination occurs through our masked relay system; we do not sell or expose phone numbers for third-party marketing or lead resale.

With service providers

We share information with the following processors, each of which receives only what is needed to perform its function for us:

• Telnyx — SMS and RCS message delivery; receives mobile phone numbers, message content, and related messaging metadata needed to send and receive service communications.
• Supabase — Application data and media storage; receives contact information, project scope, spatial source media, derived 3D spatial models, communication records, and consent records needed to operate the platform.
• Stripe — Payment processing for contractor subscriptions; receives contractor billing and payment information submitted at enrollment. Stripe does not receive homeowner spatial media or homeowner project packets.
• Polycam — Photogrammetry and 3D spatial reconstruction; receives homeowner-captured photos and video submitted for spatial scoping and returns derived 3D spatial models to us for inclusion in contractor packets.

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to perform services for us, except where they must retain data under their own legal or security obligations.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our platform and users.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see “Your Rights”). We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and operational requirements.

Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
• Opt out of SMS/RCS by replying STOP to any message.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
