Terms of Service

1. Introduction & Acceptance

By using Home Reno Hotspot’s website, SMS, RCS, or other platform services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services. You must be 18 years of age or older. These terms apply to both homeowners and contractors.

2. Description of Service

Home Reno Hotspot is a technology platform that provides scheduling, verification, and coordination services for renovation project introductions in the New York City metro area. We are not a general contractor, subcontractor, construction manager, broker, or agent.

The platform uses automated and human-assisted systems to scope homeowner requests — including optional spatial capture processed into 3D models — verify contractor credentials, assemble scoped project packets, and coordinate a single introduction. Home Reno Hotspot does not perform, manage, supervise, or oversee any renovation work and is not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a contractor.

4. Credential Verification Disclaimer

Home Reno Hotspot reviews license and certificate of insurance (COI) documentation submitted by contractors and may reference publicly available records where applicable. This review is for platform access and matching purposes only.

Credential verification does not constitute a certification, endorsement, or guarantee of competence. Records may be incomplete or change over time. Homeowners must conduct their own verification before hiring any contractor.

5. Spatial Media and Homeowner Submissions

Homeowners may voluntarily submit photos or video of physical spaces for spatial scoping. When submitted, this media is processed into a 3D spatial model through a third-party photogrammetry processor and may be included in the project packet delivered to a matched contractor, as described in our Privacy Policy.

By submitting spatial media, you represent that you have the right to capture and share imagery of the submitted spaces and that the content accurately reflects areas relevant to your renovation request. Home Reno Hotspot does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any spatial model and is not responsible for how a contractor interprets or uses packet materials.

6. Automated Systems Disclosure

Home Reno Hotspot uses automated and AI-assisted systems to scope requests, qualify project fit, and coordinate introductions. Automated processing determines whether a request meets platform criteria — it is not a guarantee of service or outcome.

By using the platform, you acknowledge and consent to the use of these systems in delivering our services.

7. Contractor Terms

Contractors enroll through a separate onboarding path and must submit valid license and COI documentation. Subscription terms and fees are disclosed at enrollment. Platform access does not guarantee that any introduction will result in a signed contract or revenue.

Contractors are solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, permits, workmanship, and compliance with applicable laws. Home Reno Hotspot may suspend or remove any contractor from the platform at any time.

8. Homeowner Terms

Homeowners consent to service-related SMS or RCS communications when they provide a phone number and opt in, or when they initiate contact through supported messaging channels. Homeowners who submit spatial media consent to its processing and inclusion in contractor packets as described in our Privacy Policy. Homeowners acknowledge that introductions are coordinated through the platform’s masked relay system.

Homeowners are responsible for independently evaluating contractors before hiring. Home Reno Hotspot’s role ends at coordination of the introduction — all contracts, payments, and disputes regarding renovation work are solely between the homeowner and the contractor.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Home Reno Hotspot and its owner, officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the platform; (b) renovation work performed or received by you or any party you engage; (c) breach of these terms; or (d) violation of applicable law.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between homeowners and contractors must be resolved directly between those parties. Home Reno Hotspot is not a party to such disputes.

Disputes with Home Reno Hotspot shall be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, NY. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against Home Reno Hotspot.

11. Intellectual Property

All platform content, systems, and technology are the property of Home Reno Hotspot. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or extract platform technology or data without express written permission.

13. Modification of Terms

We may modify these terms at any time and will update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Legal proceedings shall be conducted in New York County, New York.

15. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
